Polluted Aquarium by designer Josh Knowles in Bloomberg’s office was a creative response that celebrated waterways and explored the issue of water pollution on World Earth Day

His sculptural installation comprised a large domestic aquarium containing classical underwater temple ruins accompanied by other elements of “debris” – model cars, oil drums and tyres, showing the more recent impact of man’s dumping of objects and pollution into the water. A ‘tableau vivant’ style performance involving a water bearer recreated as a living statue, for staff to interact with, brought the project’s messaging to life.
