Over the next year The Krasner Fund for the BFI Programme, co-curated by Arts Co, will present four outstanding exclusive previews celebrating the best of new British film – the first of which is the screening of Byzantium, directed by Neil Jordan and starring Gemma Arterton, Saoirse Ronan and Jonny Lee Miller on February 25th. This will be followed by Q&A with Gemma Arterton and dramatist Moira Buffini.
The Krasner Fund for the BFI was launched around one of the masterpieces of classic British cinema held in the BFI collections. Directed by Alfred Hitchcock and as part of the Cultural Olympiad spectacular Genius of Hitchcock BFI Season, The Manxman (1923) was presented at the BFI London Film Festival 2012: masterfully restored by the BFI experts and among the most evocative of any of Hitchcock’s work.
The Krasner Fund is a programme of events highlighting the best of British film alongside a 3-year initiative supporting treasures in the BFI Collections.
All the money raised for the Fund on these evenings will go directly towards the BFI Collections, the biggest archive of film and television in the world. For enquiries on how to support this initiative please email email@example.com
